Good Groove Music catalogues representation for Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

Based on the succcessful connection with the German publisher Roba Musikverlag A-Tempo started to represent for Czech Republic and Slovakia the catalogues of an important British publisher Good Groove Music. The catalogue includes numerous compositions of progressive British composers as Tom Nichols whose songs have been selected by the Czech Superstar Zbyněk Drda for his debut project released by Sony/BMG in April 2007.

Songs from the A-Tempo catalogues on the Czech and Slovak Superstar finalists projects

After the finalists of the first and second rounds of the Czech version of the Superstar contest Aneta Langerová, Šárka Vaňková, Sámer Issa, Martina Balogová and Vlasta Horváth who have picked compositions from A-Tempo catalogues for their projects with BMG and Sony/BMG also the Slovak superstars Katka Koščová and Martin Kelescenyi have recorded the songs of the A-Tempo writers. The last one to join them was Zbyněk Drda, the winner of the third round of the superstar contest who recorded for his debut album six songs from the A-Tempo repertoire.

New writers in the A-Tempo writers roster

The writers and members of the famous Czech band Support Lesbiens signed with A-Tempo also songs from their new good selling album "Euphony and Other Advantures" released by Universal Music. Honza Horáček, the composer and producer of the new album by Zbyněk Drda "Pohled do očí" signed his songs placed on this project also with A-Tempo.

The well known international band UNITED FLAVOUR finally released their long awaited debut album called „Unity“ on the SubPub Records label distributed by Sony/BMG. Both principal interpreters and writers of the band “Djei“ Jean Gogo from Ivory Coast and Carmen Morejon from Spain signed the publishing deals for their songs with A-Tempo. The "Christmas Carol" Musical to be played in Seoul /S.Korea again

The Christmas musical - Christmas Carol based on the story by Charles Dickens and produced by Seoul Performing Arts Company will be performed in Seoul Opera for the fourth Christmas season after its opening in December 2003. The music was written by the Czech writer Zdeněk Barták and is published by A-Tempo Verlag. Apart from the Korean director Lee Byung-Hoon and other cooperators from Korea the costume designs were created by Dagmar Březinová also from Czech Republic. In 2003 the musical was awarded the Korean prize "Best Christmas Musical of the Year".

"Romeo and Juliet" Musical

Since August 2002 a Musical Theatre Performance "Romeo and Juliet" /based on the famous play by William Shakespeare/ has been successfully performed in Seoul and other cities in South Korea, it was also performed in the Chinese cities Beijing and Shang Hai. The Musical was produced by Seoul Performing Arts Company and the original music was composed by the Czech composer Zdenek Bartak and arranged by Ivan Zelenka and Daniel Bartak.

The publishing rights including grand rights are owned by A-Tempo Verlag that also arranged a "Musical Highlights" album release on CD, a DVD and piano reduction in Korea and Czech Republic. Due to the international character of the music full of catchy tunes , an interesting set design by the Japanese designer /Kazue Hatano/,a creative directing /Yoo Hee Chung/ and an original choreography /James Jeon/ the work has a potential to be performed also in other territories . The Theatre in the North Moravian town Český Těšín has taken care of the first staging of this musical in the Czech Republic and premiered it with success on May 12th 2007. The immortal Shakespeare´s text was translated by Jiří Josek and Eduard Krečmar wrote the song lyrics.

Marta Topferova Catalogue representation for Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

Based on the general sub-publishing agreement with the American/British publisher Bug Music A-Tempo represents for Czech Republic and Slovak Republic the catalogue of compositions of the remarkable Czech/US based writer and singer Marta Topferova (daughter of the Czech actor Tomáš Töpfer). Marta Topferova writes and sings her songs mainly in Spanish and the Czech audience could meet her and her beautiful songs with ethnic flavour during a recent concert in the Prague "Akropolis" hall and also in other Czech and Moravian towns during her just running concert tour.
Her latest albums "La Marea" and "Flor Nocturna" released by World Village are definitely worth listening and can be bought in the local record stores or through Internet.

Other catalogue representation for Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

Based on couple of new general sub-publishing agreements A-Tempo became a sub-publisher for Czech Republic and Slovakia of other interesting catalogues. Edizioni Ishtar is especially well know by their excelent lounge music, the catalogue LX Editora from Portugal is versatile and the ESP-DISK catalogue from U.S.includes the compositions of the jazz avantgarde and of the American underground of the sixties and seventies. Even the titles of the Czech jazz classic Karel Velebný and his SH Quintet recorded for an American label in 1967 can be found there.
