NAVIGATORS

Just after releasing their debut album „SKY TRAVELLIN´“ (SubPub Records/Sony Music) by the end of 2008 this rather unknown Prague band has been shot up to the top of the Czech music scene. The album has been mastered in the prestigeous New York Sterling Sound studio with the experienced engineer Tom Coyne.

The album of the Navigators is not beeng admired just for the sound quality but also for the creative invention of the musicians and the producers. Rather than using samples the band has invited for the recording sessions seventeen guests as Radek Kaspar of the J.A.R., Carmen Morejon of United Flavour, Czech Beatbox Allstars (J.Cossiga, O.Pivec), the bass player Jozef Fečo and others. The Navigators aren´t just perfect in the studio but their live shows are also unique and thrilling for the audience. Since the beginning of the year the band has been touring extensively and even supporting several famous world artists as Earth Wind and Fire, , The Sugarhill Gang, Martin Luther (The Gang), Heavy and Little Axe (Doug Wimbish).

U-PRAG

At last the Prague band U-Prag released their debut album „44 thousand actors /in 16 flats“ (SubPub Records) and immediately have joined the cream of the Czech electronic music and indicated a possible way of development of the instrumental dance music.

The recent album presents apart of the incredible energy of the band plenty of sofisticated material that is skipping from the dance music to a quality electro pop however with a special incommutable flavour. Even if we find there some more simple and rather glossy melodies, they never leave a shallow impression.

After the release of their new album (it exists also in a purely instrumental version) the band U-PRAG seems to be in a very good position. They address many genres but are not superficial and this is what their fans and other listeners are appreciating.

In April 2009 Henry D released his own debut album „ Man of Honor“ (SubPub Records) with 14 original songs written by himself and couple of co-writers.
