The music publishing company A-Tempo Verlag Praha was founded by its managing director and owner Petr Belohlavek in 1993 as one of the first private music publishers in the Czech Republic. The company is a member of the Czech Collecting and Protecting Society OSA and operates as a global music publisher.

The company is the original publisher of numerous musical works of the Czech and Slovak composers from the areas of pop, rock, folk, brass-band, ethno and classical music. Apart from that A-Tempo represents on the sub-publishing base many important international catalogues as Peer Music, Music Sales, Sugar Music, Bug Music, Edizioni Curci, ARC Music, AB Productions, Essex, Bucks Music, Kassner Associates, Edition Modern and many others.

Since 1999 A-Tempo has been exclusively representing one of the major global music publishers – SONY/ATV Music Publishing.

The company is also active as one of the largest music library in the country representing important international music libraries – Universal production Music (Match, Atmosphere), Zomba, Killer Tracks, Network, Koka Media, Music House, Kosinus, JW Media, Standard, Abaco, UBM, Intermede and Magazine.

A-Tempo has a branch office in Bratislava, Slovak Republic and its direct publishing activities also cover the territories of Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bulgaria.
